In the business environment our behaviors dictate the success or failures of the company. In this article we shall examine the contributions and effectiveness of the entrepreneur, manager and employee and what types of behaviors make them a key part to any businesses success.

Entrepreneurs must be motivated, self sufficient and passionate about their pursuits and goals. Entrepreneurs must also be very creative minded people. They must have the ability to create the ideal business environment, package it and market it to the consumer and adapt when changes are needed in order to succeed. Entrepreneurs must accurately target market changes to wisely invest for profits. In doing so, being effective relies on how accurately they articulate decisions in the market place and how well they track the market. For example, Meg Whitman of EBay found a need and opportunity to capitalize within a market place that held enough potential to justify leaving her job.

Managers must be organized and have the ability to motivate the employee. The manager is like a trusted coach. If the players trust and are willing to work hard to ensure the win for their coach then you have the potential for a SuperBowl winning team. However if you have a coach that cannot control the players or interpret the play then you will have an under productive, ineffective team.

Perhaps managers articulate decisions similar to entrepreneurs, but mostly within a market place that an entrepreneur has given birth to. Managers maintain day to day operations and must effectively manage different departments, supervisors, teams, and employees, sometimes on an individual level. An effective behavior for managers would be persuasive communication. They need to be able to persuade employees to want to work and meet deadlines.
